Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Teased Alongside Date Reveal

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Art Leak Debunked

For months now, the next Call of Duty game from Infinity Ward has been teased though various leaks and even by Activision themselves, but no tangible information has yet been unveiled about the mysterious project. However, many fans has surmised that this new title is indeed the long-awaited Modern Warfare 4, with varying uncovered evidence seemingly pointing that direction as of late.

Some of these more blatant teases have arrived from Robert Bowling, who memorably served as Creative Strategist for Call of Duty during the initial Modern Warfare run. Bowling recently took to Twitter to reveal two new teaser videos, both very much hinting at the idea of a fourth Modern Warfare game. The cryptic videos don’t outright confirm anything, but noticeably tease the date of “10.8.19” alongside a lingering focus on Ghost, a prominent character from Modern Warfare 2. Check out the posts below.

A set of follow-up post from Bowling would play up the seeming tease of Modern Warfare 4. In response to speculative fans on Twitter, Bowling revealed an image of himself working on an apparent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare project, albeit with the logo on his shirt obscured. Fans were especially drawn to this obvious MW4 tease, from some questioning why the logo was hidden, to one crafty fan attempting to fill in the blanks themself.

With all signs indicating Modern Warfare 4 is a go, it’s looking very promising that the fourquel is indeed what’s being announced. However, the upcoming installment may not be in form fans are expecting as this tease seemingly leans toward rumors of a Modern Warfare 2 pseudo-remaster, keeping the classic single-player story while incorporating new elements such as updated multiplayer and a possible Battle Royale mode. We’ll likely see MW4 announced, or if these teases are hinting at something else when Activision makes their reveal later this summer.

What do you think? Are you hyped for Modern Warfare 4 to come out, or do you think this is actually a teaser for Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 instead?
