With an official announcement surely on the horizon, many fans have been theorizing as to what this year’s Call of Duty installment is. Thanks to recent leaks and rumors, the odds favor Modern Warfare 4, and according to a recent tweet from a former Infinity Ward developer, it’s looking like that just might be true.

Robert Bowling, who is now a creative consultant for Electronic Arts, recently started to hint at this year’s Call of Duty entry on Twitter. After a video from a recent preview event viral, many believe that Modern Warfare 4 is indeed next. Bowling said to “keep your head on a swivel” when retweeting this discover. After this, one fan said that they would sh*t themself if the next entry is Modern Warfare. To this, Bowling replied:

You better buy some brown pants.

Needless to say, fans have been going wild with excitement, as the former IW community manager has seemingly confirmed that 2019’s Call of Duty game is Modern Warfare 4. Seeing as it has been some time since Bowling worked at the studio, it may be best to keep some salt on standby. However, it’s entirely possible that a rough roadmap has existed for years, or that he very likely still has contacts at the studio. Either way, we should hopefully know more in the coming months.
