Call Of Duty: WWII’s Attack Of The Undead Event Now Live – Here’s How To Survive The Invasion
The community is under attack by a ghoulish invasion! Call of Duty: WWII‘s Attack of the Undead community event is now live until Tuesday, June 26th and features three different game modes to discover – Infected, Hordepoint, and Relic of the Undead. Success doesn’t come easy, so here’s a neat little guide on how to survive the onslaught of zombie enemies for each of the modes. These are limited-time modes, so be sure to log-on as soon as possible and enjoy the some free content as well.
Infected makes a reappearance from CoD: Modern Warfare 3 and is the first game mode to appear throughout the Attack of the Undead community event, where players must fight to survive and emerge as the last one standing. Throughout the match, care packages will be dropped to provide “formidable zombie-fighting tools” like the Flamethrower and V2 Rocket, but the odds are still against the survivors. Each person turned zombie will have control to bring down the last remaining humans to win the round as ghoulish foes. Either way, someone wins, but it won’t always be humanity.
In addition to Groesten Haus’ addition as a multiplayer map accessible to all player, it will be available for the Infected game mode as well. Here are some other tips and tricks to successful games:
Tips & Tricks To Surviving Call of Duty: WWII’s Attack of the Undead
- Taking control of the central cabin is a critical component of surviving each match, while the second floor “provides solid sightlines and only two points of entry.”
- Should you want to break into the [Groesten Haus] cabin, there are several windows marked on your mini-map with parallel red lines. Bring out your inner zombie by climbing through a window, and you might be able to flush out the enemy with an unexpected flank.
- During a game of Infected, you may want to hang out near one of the initial spawns or near the cave. These locations can bottleneck the undead, making it easier for you to survive long enough to win the game.
- If you happen to turn Infected, don’t fret! You can still win by turning the remaining survivors into the undead. Pressing the tactical grenade button (R1 on the PS4) while infected will drop a glowing green spawn point skull right where you stand. So, should you know where a pesky survivor is camping, drop the point near his or her location, rush into combat, and, if you don’t succeed, drop another one and try again.
There will also be 8 new unlockable weapons to test out throughout the three game modes including the Fire Axe, Claymore, Nambu Type 2 submachine gun, Blunderbuss, PTRS-41, Stinger light machine gun, Lever Action Sniper Rifle and the Tesla Gun. The latter a “shockingly good” mid-range weapon sure to electrify your gameplay.
The Call of Duty: WWII Attack of the Undead event challenge implores the community to wipe out 2 billion zombies across Nazi Zombies and multiplayer. Broken into 5 different tiers, each time one is reached, each participant during the event will gain a reward. If it’s any incentive, the Tesla Gun will be available once Tier 3 is reached and a Weapon Charm that shows of your own custom emblem at Tier 5.
That’s all there is to it. Be sure to put in your fair share of zombie kills to contribute to the community take-down of the undead.
