Bungie’s September release of the shared world shooter Destiny 2 on consoles proved to be quite a success. PC players are still anxiously awaiting the release of the title on their preferred platform. With less than two weeks to go, Bungie has announced the final draft of the Destiny 2 PC specs required in order to enjoy the sequel on PC, with both the min and recommended requirements.

During the PC beta test, a list of specifications was announced. Although the requirements for the beta aren’t much different from the full release, a more in-depth list has been given. The Destiny 2 PC specs are as follows:

  • CPU (NVidia): Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB or GTX 1050 2GB
  • GPU (AMD): AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB

Destiny 2 will run on Windows 7 64-bit and Windows 8.1 64-bit, and is recommended to run on Windows 10 64-bit. Players will also have to make sure that they have a whopping 68 gigabytes of free hard drive space for the sequel. Destiny 2 will] be available to play through Blizzard’s Battle.net app, so make sure you have that installed and updated.

Destiny 2 PC Launch

Destiny 2 will go live for PC players on October 24th at 10 a.m. Pacific. This is a slight variation from the more commonly seen midnight releases. There have been concerns pertaining to the release of patches and downloadable content in terms of timing with the console versions. Although the PC release comes a little over a month and a half after the console versions, all three platforms should sync up upon release. That means that PC players won’t be overlooked when the first DLC pack releases in December.
