We just got the reveal trailer for the highly-anticipated Borderlands 3 a few days ago, and it looks like Gearbox Software isn’t going to stop the hype train now. We already know that more information will be arriving this week alongside the release of the remastered versions of previous entries, but according to Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford, we’ll also be getting the Borderlands 3 release date.

After tweeting out the Borderlands 3 reveal trailer, fans flooded Pitchford with questions galore, including queries as to when we can expect to learn the release date of the upcoming installment. Luckily, the Gearbox CEO was kind enough to provide such information, and it is very soon.

The release date will be locked in and revealed on April 3.

Only a few days remain between now and learning when we’ll be able to get our hands on Borderlands 3, as the reveal of the release date is set for April 3rd. Many fans would have surely loved to get this information during the initial reveal, but hey, what’s a few more days? Besides, have you seen that fantastic trailer?

As pointed out by an eagle-eyed fan recently, the launch date may have already been revealed in the trailer that dropped at PAX East. Some are saying that Borderlands 3 is going to arrive on October 1st, which would be fitting as previous Borderlands games, except for Borderlands 2, have dropped in October. Additionally, this October will see the 10th anniversary for the first entry in the series, which only further provides support for a fall release date.
