Borderlands 3 Face Mask Items Will Raise Money For Coronavirus Relief Charities
The coronavirus pandemic has greatly impacted all sectors of the world, and video games have been no exception. Aside from the cancellation of big gaming events like E3, the pandemic’s effects have also been seen in gaming culture and the digital worlds therein. Animal Crossing has been used to host business meetings and even weddings, and Fallout 76 has seen its players putting high prices on in-game toilet paper. As the real world struggles to convince people to allocate resources to coronavirus relief, let alone to wear a mask, new Borderlands 3 face mask cosmetic items are seeking to provide coronavirus relief in-game and IRL.
Gearbox is working with Direct Relief to help provide protective equipment for healthcare workers. Right now, you can receive an exclusive in-game cosmetic mask for #Borderlands3 with just a $5.00 minimum donation on https://t.co/ziIpy5Y9P2.

Gearbox recently announced the new Borderlands 3 face mask cosmetic items on their official Twitter account. Gearbox is teaming up with Direct Relief to help support their efforts to equip medical workers in the fight against COVID-19. The new cosmetic mask called the “antisocial mask” looks like a standard face mask from our real world, but given the design of a breathing mask like those worn by characters in the Borderlands world.
For a minimum donation of $5.00 on GearboxLoot.com, with donation over that greatly welcomed and encouraged, players can receive the Borderlands 3 face mask cosmetic items. The proceeds will be going to charities that are directly helping provide personal protective equipment such as face masks to those in healthcare positions. There are several different styles of masks available, with them modeled after the likes of Zane, Fl4k, Moze and Amara. This is certainly a clever way for Gearbox to use Borderlands 3 in a way that both reflects the changes coronavirus has made on culture, as well as allowing fans to support those fighting the good fight against the coronavirus. With a cause this good, you’d have to be a Psycho not to support it.
