New BioMutant Gameplay Footage Highlights Exploration and Combat (VIDEO)

BioMutant

Have you ever wanted to be a woodland creature that possesses some sweet martial arts skills? Would you also like to gun down your foes if hand-to-hand combat isn’t working out? Experiment 101’s BioMutant just might be the game for you.

Players will assume the role of a seemingly cyborg fox-like creature, armed with a giant sword, guns, and paws of fury. Due to the game’s open-world RPG nature, it’s almost as if someone took Star Fox out of his ship and placed him in a forest that exists within the Final Fantasy franchise. Sounds pretty awesome, right? Throw in some delightful melee action and you’ve got BioMutant. Here’s some gameplay footage that was shown at PAX West 2017:

In the video, fans anticipating BioMutant can get a great look at the exploration involved in the game. We also get to see a myriad of enemies that will be encountered throughout the protagonist’s travels. Use varying styles of attack, including weapons and martial arts, to defeat any foe that stands in your way. The title is made up of a post-apocalyptic world, so there is no telling what exactly is to come. Not much else is known outside of what is seen in the video above, but the game looks incredibly intriguing and has beautiful visuals, so it’s surely one to keep on the radar.

BioMutant is being published by THQ Nordic and is expected to arrive in 2018 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other glorious gaming news, check out the following:
