Battlefield V Rumors Continue With Alleged Details About New Campaign and Co-Op

Battlefield V Rumors

A recent leak uncovered information indicating that similar to Call of Duty, the Battlefield franchise would be making a return once more to World War II. Now more Battlefield V rumors have arrived from VentureBeat including new information on the game’s campaign, co-op, mechanics, and more.

According to a recent leak from YouTuber Drakesden, the game would not only see World War II as a backdrop but it will exclusively feature the German side of the war. However, VentureBeat’s report indicates that this information is false, which was later mentioned by Dresden stating that he never specifically said the campaign would take place exclusively in Germany.

Following the back and forth between the two reports, the title will allegedly follow a similar style campaign to that of Battlefield 1. Players will be given episodic missions all across the major fronts which were seen in the war. Cooperative play was also mentioned, which would allow a team of players to run through randomly generated Conquest missions, though no details were given as to how exactly that would play out.

It would seem that Electronic Arts is looking to maintain a bit of consistency between the World War I and World War II titles, even including the return of Battlefield I’s voice announcer, Katherine Kingsley, for the game’s multiplayer modes. Battlefield V is also said to have a lootbox system, however unlike the issues surrounding lootboxes in games such as Battlefront II, the microtransactions of Battlefield V will be purely cosmetic.

Battlefield V will reportedly release on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 later this year, as usual. Unfortunately, Electronic Arts has yet to make any comments regarding the validity of the rumors so stay tuned to DFTG for more details.
