Despite the bugs and glitches in Baldur’s Gate 3 right now, Larian Studios is diligently working toward fixing them and developing the following acts before its official launch. While there’s no release date on when that’ll be, there’s on update that may be a cause for concern for those enjoying Baldur’s Gate 3 so far – saves won’t transfer over.

Aside from the generic male character that the community seems to be enjoying, there’s a bit of less savory news. Players familiar with early access gameplay may already be aware, but the save files for this phase of Baldur’s Gate 3 will not roll over when it officially launches.

“We know that jumping into an unfinished game in Early Access, when your saves will eventually be wiped, is a big ask,” Larian mentioned in their latest blog update. “We are phenomenally grateful to each and every one of you who’ve jumped in, provided feedback, and sent error reports. These reports are channeled back to our QA leads and producers, and the information you provide helps us to understand why certain things are happening, and thus reproduce and solve them. ”
