Apex Legends Season 4 Launch Date Confirmed Alongside New Hero (VIDEO)
Apex Legends launched early last year and saw a huge amount of success within the gaming community. The game not only delivered an extremely satisfying experience for a lot of players but brought a diverse cast of characters with plenty of interesting stories and mysteries to uncover. Now its time to look forward to the next year of Apex Legends, starting with season 4 of the title, now dubbed ‘Assimilation.’
All was revealed during a recent developer stream in celebration of the game’s 1-year anniversary. Developer Respawn Entertainment was more than welcome to deliver their thoughts on the previous year as well as reveal details concerning the future of the game. Season 4 was revealed to be kicking off on February 4th, the occasion adding new content as well as a new robotic-armed character named Forge. Sadly, there weren’t many details mentioned about the brawler other than having an “up-close and personal” playstyle.
Respawn mentioned a new weapon coming to the game called the Sentinel sniper rifle. However, again, the team didn’t mention any specifics aside from featuring a bolt-action design and a charge mechanic similar to the Charge Rifle. Additionally, like the previous season, Season 4 will see a new Ranked series that will introduce some changes such as the new Master tier. This addition changes the Apex Predator tier so that it will only be available to the top 500 players on each platform.
Apex Legends Season 4 will also have rewards ready for players for the game’s first-anniversary celebration. During the first week from February 4th to February 11th, logins will provide rewards such as an Origami Flyer gun charm in addition to three nifty badges as well as a substantial XP boost netting 10,000 XP just for completing a match. The full Season 4 stream can be viewed below.
