Apex Legends Leak Reveals First Look At New Character ‘Crypto’

Apex Legends

It feels like only yesterday that the second season of Apex Legends began, bringing with it the new character Watson, new changes to the King’s Canyon map, and even more goodies. The second season has also seen a new solos mode that has been quite the draw, though its limited-time nature means that it is now gone…for now. Now, a new leak has revealed some interesting information for season 3 of the game, which looks to be featuring the new character named Crypto.

While at the recent GME Expo a fan by the name of Teves3D on Reddit shared a few images that show off some upcoming content for Apex Legends. For quite a while now fans have been anticipating the arrival of a character named Crypto who has been seemingly teased by developers in the past. While originally it appeared as though the character would have dreadlocks in the initial leak, this most recent image shows the character with a shorter haircut.

The leak also reveals a new weapon called the Charge Rifle, a weapon featured in the Titanfall franchise that once charged could shoot out a burst of static electricity to shock foes in its path. How this weapon will be used in Apex Legends is unclear, perhaps it’ll be used as a drop only weapon like the Kraber or the Mastiff. Lastly, a new Halloween event appears to have been teased thanks to an image of Gibraltar with a Frankenstein-esque skin. With any luck, the developers will have heard the outcries of fans against the treatment of the most recent Iron Crown event and will deliver a better Apex Legends event than before.

Apex Legends is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. What are you most excited to see out of the new leaked content?
