Apex Legends Explores Bloodhound's Origins In Upcoming Event (VIDEO)

The Titanfall universe has a plethora of lore for those who know where to look, and the depth of the series extends to Respawn Entertainment’s spin-off battle royale title, Apex Legends. Ever since the game’s release, players have been given small snippets of information from the game itself and videos concerning different facets to the title such as characters, new locations, and events. Now, a new video has arrived delving into the history of arguably the most mysterious Legend in the Apex Games, Bloodhound.

Until now Bloodhound’s identity had remained a mystery and to an extent, the character remains shrouded in the unknown. The most recent video for the “Stories from the Outlands” series details a key moment in the character’s history as well a little bit of backstory on the lifestyle the character leads. Alongside the video, an announcement for a new event themed around Bloodhound and more. A new blog post from EA reveals that players will see Duos permanently added to the game alongside the standard Trios game mode on a rotation of both King’s Canyon and World’s Edge.

The Old Ways Event will see a new challenge called Bloodhound’s Trails. Players will be tasked with hunting down ferocious beasts for high-end loot all the while trying to fend off fellow Legends looking to take the spoils of the hunt for themselves. A new prize track will be available throughout the event giving fans a chance to earn some themed skins for Legends, weapons, and more including the return of some cosmetics from the legendary Hunt. Players will also have a chance to pick up some rare and legendary skins themed around The Old Ways event from the direct purchase shop should they choose to do so.

Apex Legends is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The Old Ways event is set to run from April 7th through until April 21st.
