Anthem Cataclysm Event Is 8 Weeks Long, Adds New Area, Missions, And More
The Cataclysm is the in-game event for Anthem that has received some delays since its initial announcement, but this may have had something to do with the fact that fans were unhappy with the state of the game, so the devs focused on making things right. That said, it looks like the big event is just around the corner, as BioWare has now released more details about the Cataclysm and about when players can expect its arrival.
During a recent livestream on Twitch, lead producer Ben Irving and global community manager Jesse Anderson revealed some the details that Anthem fans have been craving. For starters, Cataclysm will be an event that lasts for eight weeks, the first two two of which will have pre-event goodness that sets up the tale to come. Three new missions will come with the event as well as a new area, the titular Cataclysm.
In addition to all of this, it was also noted that new powers, weapons, and gear are inbound, but they did not specify the amount of each that Anthem players can expect. Unfortunately, they did not disclose when Cataclysm is set to begin, but a Public Test Server has been set up, with select users on PC being invited to test out the event. Their plans are to hold the testing for a few weeks, with the event being released afterwards.
Anthem is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
