Another Overwatch Hero Teaser Drops – Wait, Is That A Jetpack?!

Another Overwatch Hero Teaser

The plot thickens, as Blizzard Entertainment has just dropped yet another Overwatch hero teaser. Previous entries in this web of mystery have pointed to Torbjorn’s daughter being the next hero to join the fight, and with the latest puzzle piece, it really seems that is the case.

In a post to the Overwatch Facebook page, we see what looks to be a shield that is very reminiscent of everyone’s favorite wielder of precision German engineering. The most recent tease showed the next hero’s potential weapon, which is akin to Reinhardt’s rocket hammer. This time around, we see what looks to be a shield with a lion crest at the heart of it. Check it out for yourself:

Fans needn’t worry, of course, as the cat makes yet another appearance. However, what is particularly interesting, what appears to be a jetpack is on a covered sketch to the left of the shield like device. Encircled in a coffee stain, we see the tail of an animal, most likely a cat, with a jetpack attached to it. Either Blizzard is paying homage to the cancelled hero prototype and messing with us, or the Overwatch hero teaser points to a jetpack-clad cat coming to the game. We’re still going with Brigitte Lindholm.

Once again, until Blizzard finally reveals the next hero, we can only speculate. However, let’s take a look at a potential timeline. New hero gets revealed within the next week or so – spends a few weeks in the PTR to get the majority of bugs out and balanced – then this year’s Operation event is likely to be Operation White Dome, where Reinhardt saves Torbjorn’s life, solidifying that bond between the two, which will go live in April. That’s one guess.

Overwatch is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming news going on right now, check out the following:
