Steam Redesign Concept Images Leaked

There’s been in-house dialogue regarding a redesign for Steam, a video game marketplace that’s essentially become a hub for PC gamers everywhere. Any development in that regard have been locked away behind closed doors, but one dataminer was determined to find out some juicy details on the company’s inner workings. Thanks to Steam Database creator and dataminer, Pavel Djundik, new concept images leak an entirely reworked Steam interface.

It stands to be said that the images seen below are concept designs and does not mean they are finalized. These images were presented during a January in-house presentation. Linked into the Twitter post are a few images taken from the 2017 titled “SteamU.” Take a look:

The Twitter post directly above shows the slide the leaked images were taken from. Of course, design are always subject to opinion. Based on the page created specifically for Rainbow Six Siege, it doesn’t look half bad. There’s currently no release date for this project at this time, but if Valve is far along in developing an brand new user interface for their market, announcements will come in due time.

What do you think about the possible Steam redesign? Do you think Valve should stick with the current version or should they move forward with the leaked concepts?
