Fallout 76 To See The Return Of An Iconic “Fallout” Weapon
The upcoming multiplayer action role-playing game Fallout 76 is set to change everything that fans have come to know and love about the franchise in order to craft a completely new and unique Fallout experience. This doesn’t mean however that the developers are getting rid of things fans have enjoyed in the past. The title will feature quite a few references and ties to previous games throughout the beloved franchise. For example, it’s come to light that an iconic weapon known as the Fat Man is making a return to the franchise to wreak nuclear havoc on West Virginia.
ComicBook recently talked with Bethesda to learn more on the upcoming post-apocalyptic adventure. When asked about the Fat Man the developer expressed that yes, the Mini Nuke Catapult would be returning to the franchise. The location in which players will be finding this destructive powerhouse is unknown however, leaving players to find it for themselves when the game launches later this year.
For those who are unaware, the Fat man is a mortar/artillery weapon capable of launching a Mini Nuke to bombard a large area with high precision. The weapon was first featured in Fallout 3 and has since been featured in many Fallout titles across several platforms.
Fallout 76 will be available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on November 14th. The Fat Man has lived a long life of infamy and will continue to do so for years to come.
