Fallout 76 Beta Access Date Announced With Theatrical Trailer (VIDEO)

It’s still a ways away, but Bethesda Softworks finally announced the Fallout 76 beta. Having teased more details to come soon earlier this week, the official date has finally been revealed and begins toward the end of October. They’re calling it the BETA (Break-It Early Test Application) and they’re asking players to “stress test and break the game.” In thee video below, Bethesda reveals the initial launch window for the beta. Check it out below:

The Fallout 76 beta begins October 23rd, 2018 for Xbox One, meanwhile PC and PlayStation 4 will commence on October 30th. According to Bethesda, this will not be a 24/7 style access. Instead, there will be time frames wherein the game will be playable, and try to fit as many people onto the servers as possible. That could result in gameplay anywhere between 4 to 8 hours.

The icing on the cake? These aforementioned dates may not be the only days available to test the Fallout 76 beta. Depending on how the Bethesda sees fit, this process may repeat again and again up until a few days before the launch of the actual game. Here’s the official word:

On any given day the game might be up for anywhere between four to eight hours. Focusing as many players as we can into these windows is our prime objective. Then we’ll fix what we need to fix and do it again and again from the start of B.E.T.A. until a few days before launch. We’ll give you as much heads up as possible because we need you to log in during these times and play the game. We’ll also keep you posted through our official @Fallout and @bethesdastudios on Twitter as well as the Bethesda.net forums and our Bethesda.net Status Page to learn when servers will be online.”
