Halo 5: Guardians Might Finally Arrive On The PC Platform
With the exception of RTS titles, Halo has been off of the PC platform for quite a while, long enough for fans to wonder if the franchise would ever return. The announcement of Halo Infinite this year changed all of that stating that the title would arrive on both Xbox and PC platforms. Now it seems fans might see the franchise return even sooner with Halo 5: Guardians possibly coming to PC, skipping both 3 and 4.
The recent re-release of the title has brought a small change to the game which could potentially indicate the arrival of the title on multiple platforms. A recent listing for the title on Amazon is labelled as an “Xbox One console exclusive” where it used to read “Only on Xbox One.” This Xbox One console exclusive label has appeared on various titles that are a part of Microsoft’s “Xbox Play Anywhere” program. The program allows for players to purchase a game for either the PC or Xbox One and still be able to play it on both platforms assuming it’s an Xbox Exclusive.
Microsoft and 343 Industries have yet to confirm whether or not the title will be an “Xbox Play Anywhere” title and the official store has not updated the title to reflect any new changes. Halo 5: Guardians is currently available for Xbox One.
Assuming the PC version of the game is real, could mods of the early days of Halo also make a return?
