Resident Evil 2 Remake Specs Revealed For PS4 Pro And Xbox One X
Gamers around the globe were absolutely delighted to see footage of the upcoming Resident Evil 2 remake at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. Since then, we’ve been receiving plenty of details about the updated version of the 1998 classic, including the fact that Tofu is coming back!
That said, we now know how the game will run on the most recent hardware. After all, Capcom is taking a 20 year old game, throwing a new spin on it with a different camera angle, and updating it from head to toe. If any of the footage that we’ve seen is any indication, fans are surely in for a treat. Especially if they plan to pick up the Resident Evil 2 remake on the PlayStation 4 Pro or Xbox One X.
“Players will be able to play on Xbox One X and PS4 Pro in 4K,” Capcom brand manager Mike Lunn recently told GamingBolt. “But if you choose to play in 4K you won’t be able to play at 60 frames per second. So it will run at 30 FPS. It is a stable frame rate.”
It would appear that stability is key with the upcoming Resident Evil 2 remake, but can you imagine playing the classic zombie title in glorious 4K? Sounds like a dream come true for RE fans. As for the less powerful versions of the above consoles, Capcom hasn’t been able to lock down anything, but they “are targeting a high frame rate.”
