Harvest Moon: Light of Hope was announced last year in celebration of their 20th year anniversary of the franchise. In fact, it was revealed for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC, which also meant it would be the very first release on Steam. Then earlier this year, Natsume Inc. and Rising Star Games revealed a Special Edition release to arrive this month, featuring a brand new character and features alongside it. Finally with the latest trailer to release, the developers have announced the release date for Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition for the Nintendo Switch and PS4:

In addition to a longer title with the addition of “Special Edition”, Natsume added a new character and other features fans may enjoy. Introducing Soleil, a gem sprite “whose origin is shrouded in mystery” and unfamiliar with the outside world. It’s then your responsibility to acquaint her with discoveries and experiences! Soleil will be available on co-op mode and is even a romanceable character. Upon realizing her feelings for the main character, she will take on a human form. How cool is that?

Additionally, Natsume and company announced a season pass available for purchase that includes access to all four DLC featured in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope. It offers “more of a unique Harvest Moon gameplay experience” including Decorations & Tool Upgrade Pack, New Marriageable Characters Pack, Doc’s and Melanie’s Special Episodes, and the Divine Marriageable Characters Pack. In Harvest Moon: Light of Hope, players begin the game as they set out looking for a fresh start and new surroundings. During their voyage, their ship is hit by a storm and goes down. As they drift into a small harbor town, now in a shambles from the storm, it will be up to the player to help rebuild the town and save the lighthouse…but it won’t be easy! Nevertheless, with some hard work growing crops, tending livestock, and gathering materials for repairs, players will be able to make new friends, start a family, revive the lighthouse, and save the town!”

Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition will be available on May 29th, 2018 on the Nintendo Switch PlayStation 4. for $39.99. Pre-orders are available now.
