Crytek Reveals Hunt: Showdown PC Requirements, Early Access Now Available (VIDEO)
Known for their work on the original Far Cry, Crysis series, and many others, Crytek has been hard at work developing their latest project – Hunt: Showdown. Just last month they began their Alpha testing, allowing select players to try out various different elements within the game. While it’s been a long time coming, Crytek reveals Hunt: Showdown‘s PC requirements and its Early Access availability. Check out the trailer below for more information on that end:
Hunt: Showdown an multiplayer, action-shooter that pits players as bounty hunters against supernatural enemies, combining heavy PvE elements with PvP in a sandbox environment. The games are set up in matches, where up to five teams of two must track “monstrous targets”. Once a team has defeated the target and received the hefty prize, all other hunters left are fair game. The catch? Death is permanent and once that character is killed, all loot and gear goes with them and players must build another from scratch.
Not only does that continuously level the playing field, but there’s a constant sense of competition and danger. If it’s any consolation, this game requires careful planning and improvisation from everyone while out in the field. It’s not just any regular shoot ’em up, unless lady luck is on your side. Aside from the Crytek reveals of Early Access now available, the PC requirements are here to give gamers an idea of what hardware they’ll need to operate this fast-paced game.

Twenty GBs is a whole lot of game, and the recommended graphics card needed to play the game optimally is pretty hefty too. With that being said, there have been mixed reviews of the game so far even though it has just reached Early Access. What do you think of its quick move to Early Access model? Is this a good idea or should Crytek continue developing it behind closed doors a while longer?
