WATCH: New Master Cycle Zero Mod Brings Sonic Into Breath Of The Wild

Master Cycle

Creative mods in games are always a wonder to behold, and one of the most delightful targets for modders this year in gaming has been The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Recent mods have brought the likes of Waluigi, Woody from Toy Story, Shrek, and Batman into the latest Hyrule adventure. Now, Nintendo’s latest DLC has brought what seems like a mod, but is the very real Master Cycle Zero. One modder has taken it upon themself to turn this new in-game dirt bike into several different mounts, including a ridable Sonic the Hedgehog.

Modder WilianZilv, who is well known for creating many of the most famous Breath of the Wild modifications seen this year, has shared videos of the newest Master Cycle mods on YouTube. The funniest, and most internet-welcoming, one is the Sonic the Hedgehog skin for the Hylian Hero’s new ride. When Link summons the cycle, it appears in the form of everyone’s favorite chili dog-loving runner. Although Sonic doesn’t appear to have any facial animation, his speedy legs look like a spinning pinwheel when at top speed. The video also shows Sonic grabbing some classic rings while running. Check it out for yourself below:

WilianZilv has also crafted mods that turn the Master Cycle into CJ and Big Smoke from Grand Theft Auto San Andreas on a Motocross bike and one that models the cycle after Roadrunner from Looney Tunes. However, when you gotta go fast, no one can top Sanic the Hedgeheg & Knuckles! WilianZilv has yet to share the files for the public to use these mods, but it appears that these will come in the future. What do you guys think about these new Master Cycle Zero “upgrades”?
