Nintendo Switch’s Splatoon 2 Adding New Stage to Splatfest Rotation
It has been nearly two weeks since the highly anticipated sequel to Splatoon has arrived for the Nintendo Switch, and things have been going fairly well for the title. Fans and critics alike seem to be enjoying the game, which is very reminiscent of the first installment, but with enough added to keep players coming back for more. Speaking of additional things, Nintendo of America recently sent out a tweet that unveiled an upcoming map for Splatoon 2.
The only catch with new map Shifty Station is that it will solely be available within Splatfests. For those not in the know, these are in-game competitions that pit two teams against one another, with each fighting to gain points for their respective faction. Nintendo has stated that it will be transformative, meaning each time a player encounters the new stage, it won’t be the same as they had seen it previously. Take a look at the tweet and photos of the new Splatoon 2 map below:

Splatoon 2‘s first Splatfest is set to kick off the first weekend of August. Beginning at 9PM PT on August 4, the event will last for 24 hours. Players that plan to participate will need to decide which condiment they favor between ketchup and mayo. Fans will remember that the Splatfest demo that debuted a week before the title’s release was also based on food items. Needless to say, the devs seem to have a bit of fun.
Splatoon 2 is currently available for Nintendo Switch. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for more related news, check out the following:
