As If Outlast Wasn’t Creepy Enough – New Launch Trailer For Outlast 2 Has Arrived (VIDEO)

Outlast 2 … it’s scary as hell, let’s get that out of the way. Not only does it look like it will do the horror genre justice, but this title has been causing quite the stir world-wide. It’s so graphic, that at one point – Australia banned it completely due to multiple instances of graphic, non-consensual sexual violence. The ban has since been lifted, but the precedence is still there: this game will be bringing the shock and the scary factor. With the April 25th release fast approaching, the Outlast 2 developer team wants players to know just how much their life is on the line with a brand new launch trailer, check it out below:

As seen in the video above, Red Barrels wants you to know exactly the scares you have to look forward to. The creepy environments masked in a fog within the night, bloody bathroom stalls completely bathed in red, a daunting landscape spread wide as the main character runs for their life in a high adrenaline chase against everything and anything that wants to kill them.

The launch trailer doesn’t go much into the detail concerning actual gameplay, other than the chase itself, but there are plenty of other videos that the team behind this title have released to give players a look into the horror game mechanically. Between the latest Outlast and the wildly successful Resident Evil 7, this year has been shaping up to be a horror fan’s dream in terms of titles to play.

The latest game in the franchise will be dropping on April 25th for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 4. Will you be scooping up your copy of Outlast 2? What did you think about the ban for sexual violence?
