Graphics Features Shown in New Ghost Recon: Wildlands PC Trailer (VIDEO)
The release of Ghost Recon: Wildlands, the latest game being released under the Tom Clancy family by Ubisoft, is slowly creeping upon us like a duck hunter wading through the tall reeds in the marshlands. While the PC version of the game has made the minimum hardware specs that will be needed to properly run the game known, there has not been a lot of detail regarding the specific advantages and capabilities that the PC version will have over the console counterparts. That changes now, as Ubisoft has released a new Ghost Recon: Wildlands PC trailer showing just exactly what the PC version can do. Take a look:
The video seen above has been posted to Ubisoft US’s official YouTube channel, which shows the PC version of the game in action. Nvidia’s logo is shown proudly in this video, as the footage was captured using an Nvidia Geforce GTX card. Nvidia brought their HBAO+ technology to the PC game to increase the realistic behavior of shadows in the title’s environment. The PC version also features volumetric lighting and “turf tech”, which makes the grass and other plant textures in the game interact with players more realistically. Also revealed in this trailer is the game’s use of Nvidia Ansel, which will allow PC players to capture footage of gameplay and share it online.
We also now know that the PC version will not have a framerate cap, which has now been made into a setting under options, much like many other features such as the customizable controls. All of these are definitely welcome additions for PC players, and make the game look absolutely stunning.
