Players have countlessly weeded out “sus” Impostors across PC, mobile devices, and even Nintendo Switch for the better part of a year now, but it looks like Among Us is finally coming to Microsoft and Sony-branded consoles. Recently announced on the Innersloth blog, the developer’s hit social deduction game is now officially confirmed to release digitally on December 14th across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Available for next-gen and last-gen consoles, Among Us is confirmed to feature full cross-play capabilities and run for the same price available on PC, $4.99 USD. In addition, both platforms come with their own perks, with Xbox adding the title to Xbox Game Pass on day one, and the PlayStation version launching with exclusive Ratchet & Clank content. In addition, each release also comes with all previous DLC and support for up to 15-player multiplayer.

Alongside the digital release, Innersloth also announced release dates for all the various special editions of Among Us coming to each console and the Nintendo Switch. The Crewmate Edition releases for the UK and Europe on December 14th, Japan and South Korea on December 16th, and the US, Canada, and Latin America on January 11th, 2022. Lastly, Imposter and Ejected Editions are expected for later in Spring 2022 “across multiple territories.”

The arrival of Among Us on PlayStation and Xbox is sure to be an exciting moment for console dwellers, especially as quite a few months have passed since they were originally announced. As for the future of the game, not too much has been shared since the last big update in June, but more news is teased to come “veeeery soon” by developers. Other projects have decidedly filled the void in the time since, such as a fan-made fighting game adaptation, official Halloween costumes, a massive Mass Effect mod, and Fortnite’s very sus Imposters mode.
