Kena: Bridge of Spirits Release Delayed To September

Kena: Bridge of Spirits

The PlayStation brand continues to dominate the gaming industry, with the PlayStation 4 and 5 currently providing some of the most successful new video game releases. For the PlayStation consoles, their platforms owe much of their success to the big exclusive titles that show off what the hardware can really do. One particular title exclusive that has excited players for its release this year has been Kena: Bridge of Spirits, which delighted many with its vibrant world design and lively characters. The game had been delayed several times now, and unfortunately, it seems that the developers need one last short delay before the finish line.

Ember Lab has shared a new statement on their official Kena: Bridge of Spirits Twitter account regarding the game’s release date, delaying the launch until September 21st. This decision was been made to polish the game and use the extra time to “ensure the best experience possible.” The tweet also acknowledges that fans are eager to play the game, and that Ember Lab appreciates the patience of their fans as they continuously wait for the game to finally release.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits

Kena: Bridge of Spirits had been delayed several times already. It was first delayed past its initial release window of late 2020 into Q1 of 2021, and then into its more recent release window of August 2021. The several delays have largely been attributed to complications arising from the COVID-19 pandemic as members of the development team continue to work remotely. For this reason, delays have become quite common for major titles throughout the pandemic. This final delay is only a month extension, so hopefully, it does not upset fans greatly or diminish their spirits. The game in its final form should create a bridge to those broken spirits at least.
