Xbox released the Xbox Series X World Premier trailer that made its debut at The Game Awards 2019 on their official YouTube channel. The trailer begins with the classic spoken word track “The Dream of Life” by British philosophy writer Alan Watts, which contemplates on dreams. Check it out below:
Action shots from the most popular Xbox franchises are then represented including Forza, FIFA and finally Master Chief himself from the Halo series. A large opaque upright rectangular cube is then shown, revealing itself to be the form of the new console, previously referred to as Project Scarlett.
Xbox head Phil Spencer then arrives onstage and reiterates the video’s confirmation that the Xbox Series X will launch during the holiday season of 2020 and promises “a new bar for performance, speed, compatibility.” He also states that all 15 Xbox studios are working on new games for the device, as well as many third party developers. Following this, Spencer introduces a trailer for a game that will demonstrate the power of the Xbox Series X, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II. More details about the Xbox Series X are sure to arrive in the coming hours and days, but the console already seems like it is making many dreams come true.
