Xbox One Avatar Editor Now Live, Here Are All The New Features

Earlier this year, Microsoft teased a completely redesigned avatar editor with sneak peeks for Xbox Insiders, but there wasn’t exactly a timeline on its launch. Exclusive members got a first-look at the new system they would implement, but it’s remained relatively hush-hush since then. Thankfully, with the October update that just went live, there’s the revamped Xbox One avatar editor as well and it looks mighty fine.

Xbox One owners can customize their avatars with a totally revamped editing system. With a wider range of colors to choose from for hair, skin color, eyes, and diverse facial features. Recreate a cherubic version of yourself or make an original character from imagination. Want over-the-top alien creature with blue skin and striking red hair? There’s certainly nothing stopping you.

There’s a revamped avatar store as well, where users can access endless outfit possibilities to purchase. There are nods to Gears of War, Halo, and many other franchises as well. There’s a neat photobooth feature to capture the personally created avatar for a sweet Gamerpic. Take advantage of the various emotes to capture your inner gaming spirit! The new Xbox One avatar editor certainly takes creativity to a whole new level.  Strike a daring pose, or a gleeful one – express yourself.

Got awesome fantasy hair you want to create on Xbox? Flaunt those unicorn locks, gorgeous! If the choices are overwhelming, players can opt to stick with the original avatar creator as well. So there are no losses there! What are your thoughts on the new Xbox One avatar editor? Getting creative with the extensive customization options? Show us your avatar on the DFTG Facebook page.
