Xbox Executive Excitedly Congratulates Nintendo on Upcoming Switch

Mike Ybarra, who is the Engineering Lead for Xbox, has congratulated Nintendo after their big reveal a couple of days ago, regarding the Switch. The upcoming Nintendo console is a hybrid that can switch between a home console and a portable handheld. The Switch will be coming on March 3rd and is priced around $300. Ybarra took to Twitter to talk about how excited he was, as a gamer, for the upcoming Nintendo Switch.

It is always nice when competitors can take a step back and admire the other’s work. Ybarra is not the only person from Microsoft to have said nice things about Nintendo’s new console. When the Switch was first announced back in October, Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, also had some wonderful compliments for the competitor, “I’m always impressed with their ability to state a bold vision and build a product that delivers on that vision.” Spencer has even tweeted about how great the new Mario and Zelda games look:

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be available with the launch of the Switch, but you will have to wait a little longer for Super Mario Odyssey, since the release date is only being described as “holiday 2017”. Right now you can pre-order the Nintendo Switch here. Does it warm your heart to see the respect Xbox has shown its competitor?
