Xbox Adidas Sneaker Collaboration Debuts Xbox 360 Design
While being the youngest of the big three video game console brands out there, Xbox has still cemented itself as a strong part of the gaming industry. The Xbox brand is now celebrating its 20th anniversary, and Microsoft is looking to properly celebrate the occasion this year. The company has already released a special line of merchandise reflecting the anniversary, and the Xbox Series X has big games still coming during the year. The world of sneakers has not been shy from partnering with video game companies, and now a new Xbox Adidas sneaker has been revealed that pays tribute to the Xbox 360.
Microsoft and Adidas have unveiled the latest Xbox Adidas sneaker to be released as a part of their ongoing collaboration. This second sneaker of the collaboration is particularly themed around the Xbox 360, and it is named the Xbox 360 Forum Mid. The shoes are colored mostly white, with some silver and light green highlights, much like the original model of the Xbox 360 that is well known to gamers. The sneakers also feature subtle design nods to that piece of hardware. The front straps are meant to look like the disc drive on the front of the 360, and the heel of the shoes feature what look like the memory card and hard drive slots from the Xbox 360 as well.
These Xbox Adidas sneakers also come equipped with changeable red, blue, yellow and green shoelaces, which are meant to be reminiscent of the X,Y, A and B buttons on the Xbox 360 controller. The sneakers will be available for pre-order on November 7th at 7:00 AM PT on Adidas’s official retail website. These are the perfect crossover shoes for any sneaker head that loves Xbox. Let’s just hope that wearing these shoes too much doesn’t give the wearer the red ring of death for their feet.
