Two Latest Warframe Videos Takes Players Inside of the Plains of Eidolon (VIDEO)

Plains of Eidolon

Warframe is a cooperative third-person shooter that brings gamers together as an ancient race of warriors named the Tenno, to do battle against enemy factions. To date, the game has put players in smaller areas like enemy bases, with limits on where they can move about the map. However, as stated in July at Tennocon, they are introducing a whole new playable area that can be seen in the Plains of Eidolon trailer below:

Those that enjoy Warframe will get a chance to stretch their legs and fight across a large and vivid open-world environment. As noted on the Warframe website, “For the first time in Warframe history, explore, fight, journey, and fly through the open landscapes of Planet Earth.”. With this new type of gameplay, Warframe edges closer to feeling like an MMO with the first landscape Plains of Eidolon. Warriors will have the opportunity to visit the city of Cetus and interact with the inhabitants; the Ostrons. Battle against Grineer patrols in order to protect the people of Cetus utilizing skills like stealth or parkour. Take flight with an Archwing and zip around from one fight to the next.

In addition to the teaser dropped by the team at Digital Extremes, a 17-minute gameplay demo was also released. In that video, the presenter takes viewers through a walk through Cetus. The vast market proudly displays many different vendors selling items that range from fish heads to art-work to gear. One of the vendors that can be talked to allows players to make their own weapons from different parts, which is the first time this has been available for this title. The different modifications that are added to the weapon change how effective the it is. However, when leaving Cetus, gamers see how large this landscape truly is. The video also highlights that the renderer and the art sustains a constant daytime and nighttime cycle.

Though Plains of Eidolon does not have a confirmed release date at this time, the teaser and the gameplay demo note that it will be released in 2017.
