Vinyl Box Sets of Persona 5’s Soundtrack are On the Way – Here are the Details
Persona 5‘s soundtrack was released on iTunes earlier this month and fans of the RPG absolutely loved it. Well, it is time to get even more excited because now it is coming out on vinyl with two different versions to choose from. It was announced yesterday that Atlus is partnering with iam8bit to create the two quality box sets. The first version is the Essential Edition, which is a 4xLP featuring songs from Persona 5 that the Atlus sound team themselves chose as the game’s “most popular music”. The other version is the Deluxe Edition and it is a 6xLP that includes the ENTIRE soundtrack of 110 songs.
The future cover art for these vinyls is still being kept top secret for now, but has been described as “the result of an intimate collaboration between iam8bit, Atlus, Sega, and a to-be-announced, top-secret artist.” How mysterious and enticing! Persona 5‘s soundtrack is not the only video game vinyl that iam8bit has put out in the past, but it is still pretty damn awesome. The company plans to give fans an inside look at how the vinyls are being made and says, “We’re going to document and share the entire process of creating a vinyl album with Persona 5 fans, from start to finish”, so try to contain your excitement!
Players can pre-order their copies of the box sets right now on the iam8bit website for $100 to get the Essential or $175 for the Deluxe, which is being limited to only 1000 copies made, so hurry if you want one.
