Ubisoft Hints At Future Nintendo Crossovers
The once-unthinkable concept of Ubisoft crossing over with Nintendo became a reality last year in Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle and produced a pretty hefty success for both companies involved. This partnership would look to strike similar success later this month with Ubisoft’s Starlink: Battle For Atlas and its inclusion of Fox McCloud from Big N’s Star Fox series.
With a seemingly fruitful relationship on their hands, one would expect Ubisoft and Nintendo to somehow continue their carousel of collaboration. According to a recently surfaced Ubisoft poll, it looks like that could very well be in the cards. An email received by Twitter user ‘Brybry’ began this speculation, the document asking players the popularity of several notable Nintendo characters.

Included are a number of staple characters such as Mario Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi, as are a number of secondaries such as Rosalina, Bowser Jr., and Daisy. We even see that Waluigi made the list, a true contender for “greatest character ever” if the internet is concerned.
While Ubisoft’s survey doesn’t necessarily confirm a new Nintendo crossover, gauging players’ interest in certain characters does at least mean they’re thinking about it. Perhaps it could amount to character DLC for either ‘Kingdom Battle’ or ‘Starlink’, or maybe even something entirely new. One thing is for sure, our fingers are crossed for Assassin’s Creed: Waluigi.
