Ubisoft Confirms Assassin’s Creed Reveal Scheduled for E3 2017 – Teaser Video Hints at New IP (VIDEO)

Assassin's Creed Reveal at E3 2017

Ubisoft has confirmed that an Assassin’s Creed reveal is scheduled for their presentation at E3 2017, which is set to take place later this month. The timing for the reveal could be better for the publisher, as the company’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed game has had more leaks than an old Roman bath house.  The leaks in question, which have been trickling in (pun intended) since early May, have included t-shirt designs featuring the game’s male protagonist, Ba Yek, and screenshots of the game that depict the hero at the helm of a small boat, which suggests a return to the Naval gameplay that was so well received in both Assassin’s Creed: Rogue and Black Flag.  Ubisoft’s E3 teaser video, which can be seen below, reveals that new footage of Far Cry 5 and South Park: The Fractured But Whole will be part of Ubisoft’s E3 presentation this year, as well as information on a currently unannounced new IP.

One thing that will be noticeably absent from Ubisoft’s showing this year will be the presence of the publisher’s regular E3 host, Aisha Tyler.  Towards the tail end of the teaser video, a black screen comes up with the words “Hosted By Devs”, with a small caption that reads “but we love you still Aisha”.  No reason has been given for Aisha’s absence this year, though she will certainly be missed, as her semi-awkward jokes and stage presence helped elevate her from Ubisoft’s previous E3 hosts.

Assassin's Creed Reveal at E3 2017

On the upswing of things, Ubisoft’s latest report on their fiscal year earnings has revealed that four long-anticipated titles will be arriving during the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2018.  These titles are Far Cry 5, The Crew 2, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, and the new Assassin’s Creed game.  This helps corroborate the information gleaned from the E3 teaser trailer, which suggests that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed reveal is just the tip of the iceburg for Ubisoft.  Fans of the French publisher will have a lot to look forward to at this year’s E3, and Don’t Feed the Gamers staff will be onsite at E3 to deliver the hottest information as quickly as possible!
