Two New Trailers for Live Action Tokyo Ghoul Film Released (VIDEO)
For live action renditions of anime, the release of a new trailer is always enough to spark major interest in fans across the globe. When news of the upcoming film Fullmetal Alchemist hit the news, anime lovers were treated with some incredible imagery of the film’s protagonist, including the CGI recreation of Alphonse Elric. Recently, another live action adaptation of another popular series was revealed to fans: Tokyo Ghoul.
Along with the announcement of the film’s upcoming screening, two trailers were also released on YouTube and gives a closer look into the story. From these brief glimpses into the movie, it looks like the live action adaptation is quite faithful to the source material. Check out the trailers below:
Another trailer, slightly shorter than the first, was released at the same time as the first and gives another look into the upcoming plot:
A Twitter post also gives fans a chance to check out actor Nobuyuki Suzuki as Kōtarō Amon which promises fans an incredible performance in this film. It is set to premiere on July 3rd at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, followed by a screening on July 7th in Berlin and July 10th at the Marunouchi Piccadilly theater in Chiyoda, Japan. The movie will also be receiving a wide theatrical release in Japan on July 29th.
