TurboGrafx-16 Mini Game Lineup And Release Date Revealed (VIDEO)

TurboGrafx-16 Mini

The TurboGrafx-16, or PC Engine, was originally released all the way back in 1987. Konami announced just last month that the company would be launching a new compact version of the console called the TurboGrafx-16 Mini that will arrive with a ton of games already pre-loaded into the system. Now fans have an idea of what titles they’ll be able to expect when the console releases later this year.

Konami had previously expressed that the console would be based on the American console, differing from the versions released in Japan and Europe. A new trailer was recently released detailing the plethora of old-skool titles that will come all neatly wrapped up within the compact console. The TurboGrafx-16 Mini will come loaded with 24 games from the Northern American and European versions of the console as well as 26 games from the Japanese version with some minor regional differences, making for a grand total of 50 classic titles for fans to enjoy.

The console will allow players some modern comforts such as the ability to quicksave, a variety of display modes, and more. Players will also be able to connect up to 4 additional controllers with the help of a “multi-tap” that can be purchased separately from the console itself.

The TurboGrafx-16 Mini is set to launch on March 19th of next year, though there has yet to be a price tag announced. With pre-orders for the console set to go live on July 15th however, fans are sure to find out more information on pricing soon.
