Tolkien Biopic Film About Lord of the Rings Author Casts Lily Collins in Major Role
Although J.R.R. Tolkien’s works may not be seeing any new movies anytime soon, it won’t be the last fans will see of the legendary author. A new J.R.R. Tolkien biopic is in the works which will see the man in his younger days. The film will follow him when he was an orphaned author as he finds friends, love, and artistic inspiration from like-minded individuals. The film will see Nicholas Hoult as the young Tolkien, Anthony Boyle as an unknown character, and the latest casting of Lily Collins as a very important figure in Tolkien’s life; Edith Bratt-Tolkien.
Edith and Tolkien initially met at the same boarding house in 1908 and a year after meeting, it was apparent the two had fallen in love. They later married in 1913, three years before Tolkien went to war. Edith would also serve as an inspiration for two iconic characters in Tolkien’s works, Lúthien Tinúviel and Arwen Evenstar.
As a lifelong fan of Tolkien's magic, I can't wait to start this epic adventure… https://t.co/Re5BLV7hOU
