The Outer Worlds Coming To Steam Later This Month (VIDEO)

The Outer Worlds Review Round-Up

The Outer Worlds is finally launching on Steam and that means traveling to the furthest edge of the galaxy to save the Halcyon colony from destruction. Obsidian Entertainment returned to brandish their iconic wit and humor into a story-driven, science-fiction RPG. Embark on a wild ride, develop the protagonist how you see fit, and make choices that could make and break the world around you when it launches on Steam later this month.

Though it was available for all three major platforms when it launched this time last year, The Outer Worlds was a timed exclusive on The Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store for PC gamers. The news was met with some disdain from the gaming community, but now that the one year obligation has been met, it’s finally coming to Steam. Despite critical reviews, The Outer Worlds is an award-winning sci-fi RPG experience. If you have a soft spot for Obsidian Entertainment’s development and design style, you’ll get a kick out of this one.

“Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony,” reads the official game description. “As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.”

The Outer Worlds heads to Steam on October 23rd.
