The Medium PlayStation 5 Rating Discovered (VIDEO)

Though Bloober Team’s The Medium launched as a thrilling horror mystery for PC and Xbox consoles, it appears the game may hit another popular platform in the near future. This intriguing development comes from a recent ESRB rating spotted by Gematsu, which seemingly suggests the January release will soon receive a new version for the PlayStation 5. While very little else can be gleaned from the updated listing, the Sony console is nonetheless visible among the game’s supposedly supported platforms.

As pointed out by the outlet, publisher Koch Media has been planning to release a physical version of The Medium to release alongside another Bloober game in Observer System Redux. While details like platforms and launch dates have stayed scarce since being announced in March, this new rating, if correct, may hint Koch Media has a multi-platform release in store for the two titles. It’s worth noting a PS5 release for The Medium would put the game on similar ground as Observer System Redux, making them both available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Even before launch, The Medium was positioned as one of the first true next-gen experiences for the Xbox Series X/S, touting incredible visuals, creepy atmosphere, and an interesting dual-reality mechanic. Reviews proved to be more-or-less impressed with the game’s offerings, leading the way for a pretty successful launch for the debuting horror title. Though starting out as a Microsoft staple, an eventual move to PlayStation would surely make sense for The Medium, given its success. Though, it might be best to wait for official confirmation before anyone gets too excited.

The Medium is available now for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
