The Game Awards Are Teasing Something Big For Nintendo

The Game Awards Nintendo

With The Game Awards set to arrive later this week, many gamers around the world are curious to see what the event will have in store for everyone. Over ten new games are going to be announced,  with plenty of others receiving updates, new trailers, etc. That said, one major company that could make an appearance is none other than Nintendo.

During E3 back in June, the Doritos Pope joined Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime for a bit of Mario Tennis Aces action. During their interaction, it was brought up that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate happens to drop the day after The Game Awards. That’s when they suggested that something special should take place during the awards ceremony.

The Boundary Break account on Twitter sent out the above tweet with the caption “Going to make this real easy to figure out why Nintendo fans should probably tune into the game awards this year.” The Big N has already received so much support since debuting their portable console, with third-parties bringing over ports and developing new titles for the platform in abundance.

So, what possibly could be on the horizon? It was recently reported that the next Legend of Zelda adventure could be arriving “sooner than we think,” which might make many believe that’s what we’ll be seeing at The Game Awards. Other than that, the options are aplenty. Who knows, we might even be seeing a brand new IP.

We’ll just have to wait until The Game Awards, which is set for this Thursday, December 6th. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
