TF2’s Scream Fortress 2016 is Happening RIGHT NOW!

Team Fortress 2 Scream Fortress 2016

Scream Fortress events of yesteryear have risen from dead data drives and are back in full swing for Team Fortress 2’s Scream Fortress 2016 extravaganza! Okay, it’s not quite that extravagant, but you get the idea. Things are back. You get it, right? Yeah, you get it.

“Experts assure us that ghosts are just hallucinations brought on by carbon monoxide poisoning. Well, experts, have fun explaining the 13 terrifying hauntings that just simultaneously went live in our fully poison gas-free Halloween maps! For everyone else, prepare to experience the spectral horror of carbon monoxide without any of the headaches or lethargy!”

Rather than introducing an entirely new Halloween event, Scream Fortress VIII, which runs from October 21st to November 9th, is bringing back past Scream Fortress items, maps, etc. It is also including a few new maps, taunts, tools, and a ton of cosmetics to make sure you look your very best while taking down the enemy.

You can find the full list of cosmetic items here. The TF2 Blog has also announced that during Scream Fortress 2016, any unusual cosmetics unboxed from a case will come with a Halloween 2016 unusual effect, and that the odds of running into them are doubled throughout the event. All in all, this appears to be a fun Halloween patch! The TF2 Blog stated, “Experts assure us that ghosts are just hallucinations brought on by carbon monoxide poisoning. Well, experts, have fun explaining the 13 terrifying hauntings that just simultaneously went live in our fully poison gas-free Halloween maps! For everyone else, prepare to experience the spectral horror of carbon monoxide without any of the headaches or lethargy!” Well played, TF2. Well played.
