Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season Trailer Revealed (VIDEO)
When it premiered in 2012, Telltale’s The Walking Dead series made an immediate splash, setting itself apart from all narrative-based games that year with amazing characters and a truly heartbreaking plot. Since then, Telltale has changed the landscape of adventure gaming with other hits such as Wolf Among Us, Tales from The Borderlands, Batman, and many more, but they’ve kept the series that put them on the map going strong with new seasons.
In some bittersweet news, though, it looks like the newest season of The Walking Dead will be the last one in the series, with Clementine’s adventure coming to a close starting next month. Telltale has released a trailer for the final season of the game ahead of San Diego Comic Con, showing off Clementine and AJ in a new setting along with new characters and troubles following them. Check it out below:
Telltale also shared a couple of changes coming to this new season that will surely be a welcome addition to even the most ardent of the developer’s fans:
- Emotional, Gut-Wrenching Story – See Clementine’s journey through to the end. As she builds a new life, you will have to grapple with new types of choices and live with the consequences as AJ looks on, learning from your every move.
- More Control, More Tension – A new over-the-shoulder camera system, greater freedom to explore detailed environments, and scenes of unscripted combat capture the fear of living in a world overrun by the undead. All this creates the most engaging The Walking Dead game yet.
- Striking New Visual Style – The all-new Graphic Black art style rips the ink from the pages of the Eisner Award-winning comic book series and brings the world of The Walking Dead to life like never before.
The first episode of the final season will release on August 14th, with additional episodes to release on a monthly basis.
