Become Anything You Want in Super Mario Odyssey Game Trailer – Release Date Confirmed (VIDEO)

Super Mario Odyssey game trailer

Have you ever wanted to turn yourself into a rocket ship? How about a Tyrannosaurus rex? Well, if this is the case, you’re in luck! The new Super Mario Odyssey game trailer that just debuted at the Nintendo Spotlight E3 presentation shows our favorite moustachioed protagonist doing exactly that. Through the powers that his fancy hat(Cappy) holds, Mario can toss it on just about anything he wants, and upon doing so, he will assume control of said object or person.

Join Mario on a massive, globe-trotting 3D adventure! Use his incredible new abilities to collect Moons that power up your airship- the Odyssey, and rescue Princess Peach from Bowser’s wedding plans!”

Along with the Moons that players will have to collect in order to fuel the Odyssey, there will be two types of coins – purple ones and yellow ones. The yellow variant is your standard Mario coin; use it anywhere you like. However, the purple coins are kingdom specific, so don’t go counting on them while traveling abroad.

Getting back to the Super Mario Odyssey game trailer, we see all of the applications that Cappy can be used in. Hit blocks from afar to garner funds, throw it onto enemies and become them, and look stylish while traversing the world of the game. We also get a glimpse of how the title perfectly blends the 2D Mario of yesteryear with the 3-Dimensional plumber of today. Check it out for yourself in the video below:

Super Mario Odyssey will launch for the Nintendo Switch on October 27, 2017.
