Stranger Things Receives a Pop Vinyl Make-Over – We Need All of Them!
After teasing collectors for months with mockups of fan favorite characters like Eleven and Barb Funko has finally announced their official POP Vinyl line collection for Netflix’s hit horror/sci fi show Stranger Things. The science fiction thriller became a pop culture phenomenon almost overnight and consistent with that this is record production timetable for the company with regard to design, production, and release.
As part of the announcement via their official blog Funko’s Director of Marketing Mark Robben said the following:
“Bringing Stranger Things to Funko is symbolic of our connection to our customers as mutual fans of pop culture. “We feel grateful for the privilege to create our version of these wonderful characters, but we never forget it starts with the collectors. These figures would not have been possible without every single share, like, and comment from you. Friends don’t lie.”
Check out a preview of the line below.
The 3 variants that stand out are the closed faced Demogorgon, Eleven Underwater, and my favorite of the bunch, Upside Down Will. The announcement comes just in time for Halloween but unfortunately the figures aren’t set to release until early 2017. In better news they are currently available for pre-order. Didn’t see your favorite character in the line up? Don’t worry, we’re sure the design team over at Funko are busy working on more figures. Using the popularity of the show as a measure it won’t be long before these gorgeous figures are sold out! I know I can’t wait to get my sweaty little nerd hands on every last one.
Did Funko deliver on your favorite Stranger Things character and which of the figures announced are you most eager for? Join the conversation and let us know in the comments below and as always keep a tab open on Don’t Feed The Gamers for all the Stranger Things news you need to know.
