Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ New Suit Already Has A Funko Pop Figure

Spider-Man: Miles Morales Funko POP! figure

As with its PS4 predecessor, Spider-Man: Miles Morales has been getting a myriad of additional costumes during its post-launch period and today saw the latest one added to the web-slinging adventure. Dubbed the ‘Advanced Tech Suit,’ the new costume sees Miles’ usual cloth-based threads upgraded with a tech-enhanced metallic finish. The whole look is reminiscent of the MCU’s Iron Spider suit but streamlined with a nice black-and-red design.

While the update only just went live for players, it appears Insomniac has been keeping this new costume under wraps for a while as Marvel has already revealed a new Funko Pop figure based on the suit. Featured as part of the collectbles’ Gamerverse line of figures, Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ latest suit is recreated in Funko’s signature style and is seen sporting a dramatic swing pose. Available for pre-order on Amazon, the Advanced Tech Suit POP is scheduled to fully release on May 20th.

In addition to the new suit, the actual update for Spider-Man: Miles Morales also adds some extra detail for owners of the PS5 version for the game, namely, realistic muscle deformation for select suits. As for what all that actually means, a tweet from Insomniac’s Josh DiCarlo explained that some costumes now better simulate cloth physics, and can more realistically stretch and form to Miles’ movements. The hero’s muscle structure was also said to be simulated “from the inside-out, using techniques previously only available in film.”

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is available now for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
