Spider-Man: Homecoming Teaser Has Fans Screaming for More (Video)

It’s finally time for our first look at the upcoming film, Spider-Man: Homecoming! Marvel Entertainment has given us this seventeen second nibble of a trailer that really just leaves us wanting more! The good news is that it looks like we’ll get an extended look at the movie on Jimmy Kimmel Live tomorrow evening (12/8) if the tweet is to be believed. If you absolutely have to see the trailer live, the show airs at 11:30pm EST/10:30pm CST.

The trailer opens from the perspective of Spider-Man, he’s asked why he isn’t wearing the upgraded Spidey suit sent by Tony Stark. We then see Spider-Man perched atop a building surrounded by people and a helicopter. Spider-Man kicks off into a back flip over the chopper and as he spreads his arms out, we see the glider-like web wing  attachments between his elbows and his waist.

It’s taken a great deal of coordination between various conglomerate corporations for Spider-Man: Homecoming to be made. As many of you know, Spider-Man, as intellectual property, is owned by Sony, but the character was allowed to appear in the recent Marvel Entertainment flick, Captain America: Civil War. Both Sony and Marvel must have been mutually pleased with the partnership, as the final after-credits trailer in Civil War featured the wall crawler, and is followed by the simple statement that “Spider-Man will return”.

While Sony never sold the rights of the web swinger, Spider-Man: Homecoming will be a full feature length film produced by Marvel Studios. The upcoming movie has a hard release date of 7/7/2017. It has also been confirmed that the villain will be none other than The Vulture, played by Michael Keaton!

So, there you have it! What did you think of the little trailer?  Do you agree or disagree on the choices for the Spider-Man costume? Let us know how you feel in the comments section and hang around here at DFTG for more late breaking news on Spider-Man: Homecoming!
