SoulCalibur VI: Siegfried Fights For Freedom In New Gameplay Trailer (VIDEO)
Soulcalibur VI has been gaining steam since its announcement last year at The Game Awards 2017. As fans wait patiently for a release date, Bandai Namco Entertainment has been slowly releasing details about what characters will be on the roster. The latest addition has a familiar face; Siegfried is rejoining the fight and he’s looking to free himself from the Nightmare.
Armed with his Zweihander sword, Siegfried takes center stage in the video above. The gameplay trailer features powerful attacks and brooding dialogue from the character as he shows off his best moves. Below is an introduction to the character from Bandai Namco Entertainment America’s YouTube channel:
I will not surrender to this nightmare!” Siegfried steps onto the stage of history wielding the massive Zweihander. He has but one reason to fight…to fully free himself from the cursed sword’s grasp!”
Siegfried isn’t the only character making a return appearance. Returning characters so far include Ivy, Kilik, Nightmare, Mitsurugi, Sophitia, Zasalamel, and Xianghua. New characters are also making appearances and, most notably, Geralt of Rivia will be crossing over to join the fight and making the game all the more interesting for fans anticipating the new title.
Developers have commented that Soulcalibur VI will be more story focused and players will likely learn more about characters like Siegfried as they play. There is not a definite release date yet, though the game is slated for arrival at some point in 2018. Fans will be able to play the title on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
