Sonic Forces Gets Release Date for Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC
SEGA is making a comeback with one of their most well-known franchises that debuted in the early 1990’s. Now, following the release of Sonic Mania, comes Sonic Forces this Fall 2017 and it has officially received a release date for all major platforms including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The upcoming speedy adventure game featuring Sonic the Hedgehog is set to release this November 7th, 2017.
In fact, not long ago, a new publisher was found in Dark Horse Comics for the comic series of our favorite blue Hedgehog after the split from Archie publishing. However, it hasn’t been all good news recently for Sonic the Hedgehog. Due to negative fan backlash, with blame being pointed to the Denuvo DRM (Digital Rights Management) that affected PC players on Sonic Mania, in which it required players to be online at all times and a statement was released to address the concern from the community.
While it might be odd to have two games of the same franchise release so closely, Sonic Forces features the ability to switch between 2D and 3D gameplay. Players also get to choose between playing classic or modern Sonic, or a personally customized character. Pre-orders for Sonic Forces is available now for all before-mentioned consoles.
