WATCH: SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy’s Japanese Trailer Is All About “Sexy And Cute” Girls
The marketing in Japan is certainly different than the going-ons for America and Europe as made very apparent during the Nintendo Direct Mini that aired last week. Showing off several games and additions to current line-ups like Pokken Tournament DX DLC, Kirby Star Allies, Mario and Rabbids Kingdom Battle DLC, and many others. With different audiences comes a different marketing scheme and there was certainly a stark difference between the Japanese trailer for SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy compared to the Western version.

Seen in the videos above, the Japanese trailer for SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy focuses on the very sexy side of the fighting game. The outfits donned by the fighters are sparse at best, barely covering the lady bits well. In fact, this version is more action-packed and does a fair better job at showcasing the combat and specials called Dream Finishes.
Meanwhile, the Western trailer hosts a much more conservative spotlight on the intentionally sexy game. During the combat feature, the fighters are wearing fully-outfitted costumes with trousers that leave room for imagination, or a complete dress. They also call the girls “fan-favorite”, while Japan calls it for what it is and describes the fighters as “sexy and cute”. Then, there’s the contrast of still images toward the end of the video.
While the Japanese video for SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy reveals character Leona Heidern in a tiny two-piece swimsuit, the American version shows a more conservative tactical-ish costume with camouflage pants and cropped tank top. Of course, there are many other minute and glaringly obvious differences. After watching the one above, make sure to check out the other one below and compare for yourself:
